Revamp Read & Rooted

If you told me when we opened Read & Rooted at the beginning of this year that we would be here, I couldn't have fathomed it.

As many of you know, this business has been my dream. Jesse and I tossed around the idea for a couple of years before stumbling upon the perfect opportunity and location. We first looked at the building that is now our shop the weekend before Thanksgiving of 2023 and opened the beginning of January 2024. It has been a whirlwind of a year! 

We went into this knowing adding books was the goal, but thought it would be a year or two down the road. We started adding books to the shop four months in. With everything happening and changing so fast, the current shop set up is not allowing us to optimize our space from a book standpoint. This is where this project comes in!

We want to make the space more our own and utilize it as much as possible. We will be replacing all our shelving with floor to ceiling shelves, creating MUCH more shelf space for more books and plants! We will be adding some shelving around our center tables. We will also be painting the interior of the shop to match our staple pink checker wall.

If we exceed our goal of $4,500, we will be putting it towards the exterior wall mural we are looking to commission in the spring of 2025!

To complete our revamping project, we will need to close the shop for about a week. We are looking at dates between December 29th-January 9th. With our first anniversary being January 5th, we will plan to host our One Year Anniversary & Grand Reopening event January 10th-12th!
